The Fizzing Life of the Blue Poison Dart Frog!!!

Adult and young side by side.

I.Fizzing Blue Poison Dart Frog

Army of blue poison dart frogs.

This terrific creature looks like a small blue and black sticky note. It has two bright colors blue and black spots on it's back. It can grow 1.2 to 1.8 inches long. The biggest it can grow up to is 2 inches long.

The four layers of the rainforets.

IV.Can You Find Me in the Rainforest

This sensational frog lives in South and Central America. In the rainforest it lives in the understory. Kids wonder do blue poison dart frogs migrate. No, they do not.  The blue poison dart frog's range  is South and Central America in the understory. They understory is the middle layer of the Rainforest. If it did live here in the United States it would die because it is FREEZING!!

V.  Wonder What Delicious Foods it Eats

This great frog eats small insects. Such as fruit flies, newborn crickets, ants, beetles, fruit flies, mites, spiders, and meadow plankton.  It gets it's food by it's long sticky tongue. Also it can get it's food by it's poison because if a prey scares it it oozes poison.

VI.More Enemies Then What I Thought

This mysterious creature has several enemiees. For example birds, fish, snakes, and bats. If it gets trapped by  one of these enemies on the forest floor it will ooze  the toxic poison and the prey will hopefully back away.

VII.Defense Hayaa

The amazing blue poison  dart frog has a super cool way to defend itself. So, if other creatures want to eat this frog and it eats it it will automatically die. Also it will ooze the poison and the animal will back away. It's bright color will warn the other animals stay away.

VIII.Reproduction

This poison creature reproduces during the rainy seasons. Which are February and March. It takes two weeks until the frogs are born. There can be up to 44 eggs in one litter. When they are hatched the father takes them on their back and takes them for dips. Young poiosn dart frogs are called poison dart frogs.

IX. The Fantastic Relationship

The  blue poison dart frog has a relationship with humans. The Natives use their poison for their blow darts. Natives usally boil them over a burning fire until some of it's poison bubbles. Then they take their darts and rub it in it's poison. Also they get the poison by they put the frog in a leaf  and then they put it in the blow dart and blow to kill prey.

X. Pop Pop Population

XII. Adaption

The frog adapted to the climate in Central and South America because when it's winter they stay in tree holes.  Or they still roam the understory and the forest floor to stay  warm.  To get the food in the winter they still catch the bugs with their long sticky tongues.

A couple interesting characteristics  about the blue poison dart frog is that it's bright colors warn others to stay back. Another  is when a prey wants to eat it and it does it dies automatically because  this frog has deadly  poisons. Last, but not least when this fasinating creature gets scared and can't go anywhere it will jump and land in a tree in the understory.

XV. Bye for Now

In the wonderful world lives the blue poison dart frog , and other creatures . If people keep destroying the tropical rain forest than the blue poison  dart frog and other animals will be extinct. As human beings we should take action and stop the rain forest from being destroyed.  Long Live the Blue Poison Dart Frog!!!

Bye for now little fellow.

Hi Sara! You have been working very hard on your report - I can tell! Here are some suggestions to make it even better. You write that your animal lives in the understory of the rain forest. It would be good to describe exactly what the understory is! Also, do you have all the sections you need here? Your roman numerals are not quite right. Make sure your write in complete sentences, too. You have some fragments.
I love that your sense of humor comes through! Keep up the good work!
